  • Proper BTRFS root partition on Proxmox

    Selecting BTRFS as the root filesystem during the Proxmox install, will give you exactly that–Proxmox installed in the root (/) volume of the btrfs partition. Being used to be able to choose my own volume / subvolume layout, I much prefer a tidier structure, where the rootfs is nested in a neat folder structure.

  • Migrate a LXC's rootfs to BTRFS

    Just how convenient would it be, if Proxmox containers would use a BTRFS subvolume as a rootfs? Snapshot, Backups, etc.–everything would be super easy.

    Building a new desktop computer, it was clear from the start, that I would never run Windows on that machine. It was also clear, that a fairly powerful AMD CPU would power the system. So I did the only sensible thing, and installed a gaming VM in a Proxmox Host.
